Less than 14 hours after the band's catalog was released, for the first time, on the world's No.1 digital retailer, The Beatles hit the charts running.
Or, should I say their fans did…as Beatles albums and singles literally flooded the U.S. iTunes charts.
This news has to boggle the minds of any cynics who thought music lovers had had their fill of The Beatles, having purchased (and re-purchased) the band’s library in several different formats through the years.
When I checked the iTunes charts just after midnight (eastern), I found all 16 Beatles records on the iTunes Top 100 Albums Chart, including 8 in the Top 20 (and 13 in the Top 30).
And hits? You bet.
20 Beatles tracks are on their way up the iTunes Top 100 Singles chart.
