Aerosmith: Steven Tyler helps kids at Christmas time

Looks like American Idol judge Steven Tyler is home for the holidays.

Boston.com reports the Aerosmith frontman, who lives in Marshfield, was at Whole Foods in Hingham, MA on Monday night doing some holiday shopping with his daughter, Mia.

When Tyler got to the cash register, he put smiles on the faces of employees when he decided to buy 100 Feed Kids Now bags, which are $5 bags filled with nutritious foods that are distributed to children at the Quincy Crisis Center.

Whole Foods marketing team leader Tina Barber said Tyler’s visit was a surprise, not a staged, do-gooding photo-op.

She also said Mia is responsible for the good deed. “His daughter suggested making a really nice donation,’’ she said.
