The December 5 event aired Tuesday night on CBS in prime time, paying tribute to the 2010 Kennedy Center Honorees: McCartney, country legend Merle Haggard, Oprah Winfrey, choreographer Bill T. Jones, and composer Jerry Herman.
McCartney was the last of the five honorees to be saluted; Alec Baldwin set the tone for the McCartney session, as he had some fun introducing a short video tribute. It was Tyler who cranked up the energy of the evening, rocking the house to songs from “Abbey Road.”
