Guns N’ Roses guitarist plays national anthem at AMA Supercross event

While Guns N’ Roses are on a short break from their tour, a few of the guys have been keeping busy.

Tommy Stinson just announced a series of U.S. solo shows for next month, and guitarist DJ Ashba was on hand for some ceremonies in Anaheim on Saturday.

Ashba performed the national anthem at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross (an FIM World Championship) at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Ashba promoted the appearance on Twitter, saying.

“I will be performing The National Anthem in front of 60,000 at Angel Stadium Jan. 8th for the Monster Energy AMA Super Motor Cross to kick off the Season!! Hope to see you all there! Come say hi!!”

A couple of fan-filmed videos of Ashba’s performance have surfaced; the quality isn't ideal, but the event was captured for posterity...
