Guns N’ Roses guitarist to undergo knee surgery

Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba updated fans via Facebook about a health issue on Thursday: he’ll be undergoing knee surgery.

An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan of his knee has revealed a 9-millimeter tear in his knee.

Here’s Ashba’s FB post:

MRI Update: I have a 9mm tear in my knee, so Im off to the surgeons, not getting surgery on my knee today but, setting up the surgery date. Fun fun! Hope everyone has an amazing day! Much Love~

Still not much real word on what’s up in the GNR camp these days; there were recent rumors of an American tour, that have yet to pan out, as well as some talk about the guys possibly being back in the studio.

Meanwhile, Best Buy has dropped the price on GNR’s latest, “Chinese Democracy,” to just $1.99, as it tries to unload about a million copies still in the company’s system. The retailer reportedly paid $14 million for 1.6 million copies of the album; to date, “Democracy” has sold just 614,000 copies in the U.S., based on Nielsen SoundScan reports.
