Steven Tyler set for cover of Rolling Stone magazine

Chalk up another one for Brand Tyler.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler continues to increase his profile with his American Idol gig, and things will heat up significantly in the next month as the show heads towards its May 25 finale.

Along the way is the May 3rd release of his autobiography, “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?", which is being billed as "the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse's lips ... All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear."

Tyler spent the last few years working on the project, which he says will be more personal than the material covered in the 2003 book, “Walk This Way: The Autobiography Of Aerosmith.”

HarperCollins reportedly paid more than $2 million for the rights to publish Tyler's story.

Someone in Steven’s camp is getting the business side covered, as we now hear that Tyler will be featured on the next cover of Rolling Stone magazine, which hits shelves April 29. (Take note, marketers: this is how you sync things up for maximum impact.)

With all this momentum on his side – and there may be other promotional things on the plate that have yet to be revealed – you gotta believe Tyler’s book should go flying off the shelves and straight onto the New York Times best-sellers list.

Stay tuned.
