VIDEO: Guns N’ Roses 1992 lineup salutes Slash

It was 1992 revisited for Guns N’ Roses fans on Tuesday as a mini-reunion of much of the band from that era regrouped to pay tribute to Slash, this year’s honoree at the 2011 Road Recovery Benefit show in New York City.

Slash performed with former GNR members Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan and Gilby Clarke, as well as Wayne Kramer and more, to support the charity.

The GNR team were the foundation of the house band for the evening, joined by guests Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), Dick Manitoba (The Dictators), Reeve Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), Jill Sobule, Carl Restivo and Jimmy Gnecco (Ours).

Road Recovery is dedicated to helping young people battle addiction and other adversities by harnessing the influence of entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar crises and now wish to share their experience, knowledge, and resources.

With support from the mental health field, Road Recovery provides hands-on mentorship training, educational/performance workshops, peer-support networking, and “all access” to real-life opportunities by collaborating with young people to create and present live-concert events.
