“Stand Up,” a new Durbin track, has been released as part of volume 2 of the Official Gameday Music of the NFL EP, which features songs by Jordin Sparks, Darius Rucker, Hinder and Sammy Hagar.

Material from the EP will be used by the NFL throughout the season, providing some great exposure for Durbin across America.

VIDEO: Chris Cornell – The Keeper

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has issued the video for his latest solo effort, “The Keeper.”

The song is the lead track on the original motion picture soundtrack for the forthcoming movie "Machine Gun Preacher," now playing in select US theatres.

Based on a true story, the movie stars Gerard Butler ("300", "The Phantom Of The Opera") as Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who finds faith leading him on a path to East Africa. Shocked by the mayhem in Sudan, Childers becomes a crusader for hundreds of refugee children fleeing death and enslavement.

On his website, recently, for a period of 24 hours, Cornell offered the song for donations that will go directly to Sam Childer's Angels Of East Africa charity.

Cornell played the song live on The Late Show with David Letterman last week; check that footage out here.

VIDEO: MGMT rocks Pink Floyd classic on Fallon

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s Pink Floyd week continued Wednesday, as the show marks the reissue - this week - of the British rockers’ 14 studio albums, from "The Piper At The Gates of Dawn" (1967) to "The Division Bell" (1994), both individually and as part of a 16-CD Discovery boxed set.

Monday night, Floyd drummer Nick Mason was the first guest of the week, and The Shins were the first musical guests, performing the “Dark Side Of The Moon” classic, “Breathe.” Tuesday, Roger Waters sat for a chat and then rocked “In The Flesh” with the Foo Fighters.

Wednesday, MGMT nailed a version of “Lucifer Sam,” the classic track from the very psychedelic “Piper…” release, complete with some trippy sounds and visuals.

Up Thursday night, Dierks Bentley will perform “Wish You Were Here,” and Friday rocks with Pearl Jam doing “Mother.”

Roger Waters to bring The Wall back to America next year

The day after a seriously rocking performance of a track from “The Wall” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Tuesday – with the Foo Fighters, no less (see it here) - comes news that Roger Waters will be bringing his live show of the Pink Floyd classic back to the States for a return engagement next year.

And it’s occasionally going to be a super-size trip, including some U.S. stadium shows in cities like New York, Chicago and Boston.

"There are quite a few markets we didn't cover last time, like Austin," Waters tells Rolling Stone. "But we want to base the tour around Saturday nights in baseball stadiums. As we speak, I'm at my office working on an outdoor version of the show."

Pink Floyd played live versions of The Wall in 1980 and 1981, and Waters spent the last year reviving it – but it's always been an indoor show. "We're going to be projecting over 140 yards," he says. "So now it's going to be 1,500 pixels wide. We've done light tests and Fenway Park and Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium just to see what the ambient light is like. And it's fine. It works. We've taken part of the Wall and the projectors into those three places."

When the American tour ends next summer, Waters will have been on the road for nearly two years. "They're trying to get me back to Europe next year," says Waters. "But I think I'll be completely cooked by the end of July next year."

This may be Waters' last big tour. "I'm not sure I want to go out and do the greatest hits again," he says. "Which just sucks. What I love to do is theater in a rock & roll context. I think if I did any more in the future, it might well be smaller."

A massive Pink Floyd reissue campaign launched this week, one which sees the re-release of 14 of the band’s studio albums covering 1967-1994…including “The Wall,” of course.

Steven Tyler says Aerosmith album due in March

Steven Tyler is a man of vision, and his vision predicts the new Aerosmith album will be out in March.

Speaking about this summer’s recording sessions in Boston, "Two months doing that and we’re almost there," Tyler told Rolling Stone backstage at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas this past weekend. "We’re gonna spend another month in L.A." Is there a release date in mind? "March, hopefully."

Tyler’s comments sync up with recent predictions by producer Jack Douglas. "The new album should be out around May 2012,” Jack posted a few weeks ago. “I know that's a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January. For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith 'tongue in cheek.'"

hennemusic has already suggested that the Spring 2012 release date will make a perfect promo fit for the band to appear on American Idol, whose finale traditionally falls in late May during TV sweeps (ratings) weeks.

Tyler’s comments at the iHeartRadio event came as the rocker was joined by Jeff Beck for a few songs, including "You Really Got Me" and Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)."

Could there be more collaborations with Beck in the making? "The rest is yet to reveal," Tyler said. "If I had my way, I’d say yes. We did 'Cry Me A River' and an Etta James song," he says. "[We] went to rehearsal to learn these four songs. Two we knew and we just wound up filling in the breaks with all kinds of crazy stuff." Among those were also some Hendrix songs, according to bassist Tal Wilenfeld, who toured with Beck and sat in on the superstar jam session at I Heart Radio.

For his part, Beck had a great time being on stage with a frontman of Tyler's caliber. "Big gigs are not my thing for the sound purposes, but when you’ve got him there he carries the weight, 100 percent," he said. "I enjoyed the fact that everybody was digging what he was doing, so my job was a lot easier."

VIDEO: Nick Mason, The Shins launch Pink Floyd week on Jimmy Fallon

Pink Floyd fans are enjoying five nights of their fave band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week, as he salutes the legendary British group.

The timing of the Fallon episodes isn’t coincidental: it’s to help the band promote their massive reissue campaign – think of what Fallon did for The Rolling Stones and their “Exile On Main St.” reissue last year and you get the picture.

The campaign kicks off this week with the reissue of Pink Floyd's 14 studio albums, from 1967's "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" to 1994's "The Division Bell," both individually and as part of a 16-CD Discovery boxed set. Also being released Tuesday are expanded editions of "The Dark Side of the Moon" -- including a deluxe Immersion boxed set that features several unreleased tracks, an early 1972 mix of the record, and a 1974 performance of "Dark Side" in concert, along with photos and art from the period.

Monday night, Floyd drummer Nick Mason was the first guest of the week, sitting down with the host to discuss the project.

The Shins were the first musical guests, performing the Dark Side classic, “Breathe.”

This week, fans can look forward to the Foo Fighters and Roger Waters play “In The Flesh” (Tue), MGMT perform “Lucifer Sam” (Wed), Dierks Bentley does “Wish You Were Here” (Thu), and Friday rocks with Pearl Jam doing “Mother.”

Guns N’ Roses lead the list of nominees for the 2012 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Other rockers include Heart, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Small Faces/Faces and The Cure.

“The 2012 Nominees embody the broad scope of what ‘rock and roll’ means,” said Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “From vocal groups to hip hop, from singer-songwriters to hard rocking artists, this group represents the spirit of what we celebrate at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”

Ballots will be sent to more than 500 voters, who will select artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony. To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. The 2012 Nominees had to release their first recording no later than 1986.

The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in Cleveland on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Leading up to the ceremony, the Museum will host 10 days of special events, including tours of the newly redesigned Museum, the unveiling of a major new exhibit, and the grand opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s new Library and Archives. Neil Peart: Limelight drum lesson preview

Rush drummer Neil Peart releases his new instructional DVD, "Taking Center Stage: A Lifetime Of Live Performance,” on October 14.

The set features more than 6 hours of Rush video, including a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s 2010-11 Time Machine tour. This includes rare and exclusive footage of Neil's personal pre-tour rehearsals and backstage events at a Rush concert (including a visit to the soundcheck, and an unprecedented backstage interview as Neil warms up for the show). Neil also presents a detailed look at every single song in the tour's set list.

In a new preview, Peart discusses his intricate playing on Rush’s 1981 smash, “Limelight,” along with a sample of a demonstration lesson for fans.

“This song was written at a time in the late 70s, when we were working on songs in the studio all together,” explains Peart,“so all of that band interplay and all of the figures between Geddy [Lee] and me in the solo, were worked out in real time; the two of us responding to each other’s ideas, and then working out an idea around the solo and the transitions. We learned together, we developed it together, and have never changed it. This is a song that we have been playing for more than 30 years, pretty much exactly the same cause it’s always great for us.”
