The Scorpions: Moment Of Glory coming to Blu-ray

The Scorpions 2000 release, “Moment Of Glory,” is coming to Blu-ray on July 30.

The project captures the Scorpions backed by the world famous Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra in concert during Expo 2000 in Hannover, Germany.

The setlist features a variety of the band’s hits, including “Still Loving You,” "Big City Nights" and “Wind Of Change.”

In addition to the concert, part of Berlin’s millennium celebrations, the Blu-ray includes bonus band interviews and director’s cuts of “Hurricane 2000”, “Moment Of Glory” and “Here In My Heart.”

Originally released as a standard definition DVD, the Blu-ray edition is an upscaled version of the original material, with uncompressed stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound.

On January 24, 2010, after 45 years of performing, The Scorpions announced that they would be retiring after touring in support of their new album at the time, “Sting In The Tail,” although this decision was eventually retracted and the band will continue.
