VIDEO: Gregg Allman, The National & Stephen Colbert perform Christmas classic

Gregg Allman teamed up with The National and Stephen Colbert on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report Monday night to perform a Christmas classic, and video of the appearance is available.

The unusual trio of artists played “Silver Bells” on the opening night of the show’s “Christmas Carol Week.”

Allman is currently on the road playing shows as part of a solo US tour that runs into late January.

Gregg will ring in 2014 with a New Year’s Eve show at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida.
