Anthrax launch limited-edition Persistence Of Time guitar

Anthrax are launching a limited-edition “Persistence Of Time” guitar as part of the Artist Series Guitar line.

The axe is inspired by Anthrax’s fifth album, 1990’s “Persistence of Time”, which ushered in a new age in Thrash and a new direction for the band.

The project was nominated in 1991 for a Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category. The album included the singles, "Got The Time" (a Joe Jackson cover) and "In My World" (which was performed by the band on the Married... with Children episode, "My Dinner with Anthrax").

“Persistence Of Time” was the last full Anthrax album to feature vocalist Joey Belladonna until 2011's "Worship Music."

ASG is producing a limited-edition of 100 hand-numbered “Persistence of Time” models, each finished by master craftsmen and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.

The album’s iconic cover art bursts off the hand-carved mahogany top, complimenting the single cutaway guitar’s solid mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, Mother-of-Pearl trapezoid inlays, Gravedigger headstock, custom ASG Arsenal pickups and chrome ASG headstock emblem.

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian recently launched a spoken-word tour of North America. The show, billed as “Speaking Words”, sees the guitarist recount tales from his 30-year music career.

Ian will publish his autobiography, “I'm The Man”, in October.
