Guns N’ Roses announce two European dates

Guns N’ Roses have announced two dates for their upcoming late spring/early summer European tour.

Confirmed so far:

May 17 – O2 Arena – Dublin, Ireland
Jun 22 – Gods Of Metal – Milan, Italy

Tickets for the Dublin concert go on sale Friday, February 3.

GNR’s last visit to Dublin - in September of 2010 - made headlines when Axl showed up an hour later than scheduled, and impatient fans threw bottles on the stage in protest.

When bottles continued to hit the stage during the second song, “Welcome To The Jungle,” Rose stopped the show. “One more bottle and we're going home,” said Axl. “We're here to have fun and we hope you are too, but one more and we are gone."

Things resumed for another three songs and, as Axl was doing band introductions, another bottle landed on stage; it was then, that Rose said goodnight, took his band and stormed off the stage at about 10:50 p.m.

Following a ten-minute break, an O2 staff member made an announcement about some ‘technical difficulties,’ and that they were trying to have GNR return, even as more bottles continued to be thrown towards the stage.

At 11:10 p.m., the main lights came on and the majority of the crowd left the arena; GNR returned to the stage at 11:25 p.m. and reportedly “continued playing a set to a small, but pretty irate, crowd."

Round 2 of Guns N’ Roses vs. Dublin happens May 17.
