Def Leppard’s Phil Collen on Jimmy Fallon this Friday

It’s a busy week for rock guests on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Tonight, Kenny Wayne Shepherd teams up with The Roots for a special Jimi Hendrix-themed sit-in on the show.

In a cool twist to the proceedings, Shepherd will be playing the guitar that Hendrix played at the legendary Woodstock festival, which will see its first action in front of a live audience in 40 years.

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen is scheduled to sit in with The Roots on Friday night’s edition of the program, and he’ll be joining them for the entire show - Kings Of Leon are the music guests.

Collen was recently featured on “L.A Ink,” where he and new bride Helen Simmons each got their first tattoos this spring, prior to their wedding in July; the two met on Leppard’s 2008 “Sparkle Lounge” tour.
