“The Promise” is a new audio collection that features two discs of 21 previously unreleased songs from the 1977-1978 sessions that produced “Darkness On The Edge Of Town”; Bruce recorded almost 70 songs and pared things down to 10 for the original album.

Springsteen will make his only scheduled live tv performance this year on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s on Tuesday, November 16, to celebrate the simultaneous releases of Springsteen's 'The Promise' 2-CD set and 'The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story' 6-disc set.
