Rush to tour Europe in 2011?

While in London this week, Geddy Lee’s been making the rounds to keep Rush’s profile high in the U.K.

Lee attended a screening of Rush’s "Beyond The Lighted Stage" on Monday, and participated in a post-viewing Q&A session (see “Q&A: Geddy Lee at London screening of Rush documentary” here); Wednesday, he was on hand to accept the “Living Legend” honor, on behalf of the band, at the 2010 Classic Rock “Roll Of Honour” Awards.

Lee has been doing some press interviews, including one on Monday with UK classic rock station Planet Rock.

During the chat with Darren Redick, Lee talked about Rush’s plans for next year, including a possible European tour.

"We're in discussions right now trying to firm up some dates,” said Geddy. “I think we're gonna try to come over here in the late spring, if all goes well. We're supposed to be going right back into the studio and finish the work that we started before the last tour, but there's something about the way the 'Time Machine Tour' came together that we'd like as many Rush fans as possible to experience it. So I think we're gonna try to bring that tour to Europe."

Great news for Rush fans in Europe, and just great news for fans in general, since this sounds like a second outing on the Time Machine Tour is in the works.

(Note: The discussion begins around the 126-minute mark and runs for about 20 minutes.)
