TONIGHT: Bon Jovi “Live On Letterman” webcast at 8pm eastern

The music machine that is Bon Jovi is cranking into high gear to launch the band’s new “Greatest Hits” album, in stores today.

Bon Jovi will appear on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight, shown at its regular time, but there’s more: the band will perform a 45-minute “Live On Letterman” webcast from the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York.

Tonight’s webcast kicks off at 8:00 p.m. eastern, streaming live on http://www.cbs.com/late_night/liveonletterman and http://www.VEVO.com, and will be broadcast on CBS radio stations across the States.

The Letterman appearance(s) kick off nearly a month of live TV performances in support of the “Greatest Hits,” including:

* NBC's The Today Show (Nov. 12th)
* A&E's Private Sessions (Nov. 14th)
* ABC's American Music Awards (Nov. 21st)
* the syndicated Ellen (Nov. 23rd)
* CNN's Larry King Live (interview only, Nov. 23rd)
* CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute (Nov. 25th)

“Glee” gets into Bon Jovi mode tonight, as well, as the show features a series of mashups, including Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” meets “Start Me Up” by the Rolling Stones.

Tomorrow, Bon Jovi teams up with YouTube to stream their live set from New York’s Best Buy Theatre on the Bon Jovi YouTube channel, starting at 8 PM (eastern).
