Sammy Hagar rocked the house at the party celebrating the preview of his new documentary,"Go There Once Be There Twice."
The film covers the history of Hagar’s annual Birthday Bash concerts, Cabo San Lucas and his Cabo Wabo Cantina in the resort town.
The screening on Saturday, at the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, was followed by a Hagar show with the Wabos, plus special guests Bob Weir and Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead.
Weir and Hart have jammed with Hagar over the years, and this time they sat in with Sammy & the Wabos’ set for five songs, including Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” and The Band’s “The Weight.”
The event also served as a benefit fort Homeward Bound, Ritter Center and 142 Throckmorton Theatre Scholarship fund.
