The Blackmore family, that is.
J.R. Blackmore – son of former Deep Purple founder/ guitarist Ritchie Blackmore – regularly releases his own music and, in recent years, tours with his band Over The Rainbow.
OTR performs songs by Rainbow (another of Ritchie’s former bands), and is made up of ex-Rainbow members:
Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW 1980-1984) - VocalsAn acclaimed guitarist in his own right, J.R. crossed over into Deep Purple turf in Hamburg, Germany on November 27, joining the band for “Smoke On The Water.”
