VIDEO: Gregg Allman rocks Letterman

Gregg Allman returns next week with “Low Country Blues,” his first solo album in 14 years.

Produced by T Bone Burnett, the album finds Allman putting his own stamp on songs by some of the blues giants whose work has long informed his own, from Muddy Waters and BB King to Buddy Guy and Magic Sam.

Gregg stopped by David Letterman’s show Thursday night to play the lone original track from the record: “Just Another Rider” was co-written by Gregg with longtime Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes.

Allman starts a series of solo dates to promote the record with a show in Burlington, Vermont tonight.
