Promoters posted the news to Twitter on Tuesday:
“Guess what! @Def_Leppard have been confirmed as our third headliner for Download 2011! #DL2011 #DefLep”
Leppard’s set on Friday, June 10 will kick off their 2011 world tour.
Other acts on the weekend bill include Alice Cooper, The Cult, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister, Korn and more.
The festival will take place at Donington Park over the weekend of June 10-12.
Leppard previously headlined Download 2009.
