Inside Ireland reports the guitarist’s funeral is expected to take place in Brighton, where Moore had been living for a number of years.
Moore died last Sunday of a suspected heart attack, at the start of a 6-day vacation in Spain; further tests are expected to determine the cause of death.
He is survived by four children; daughters Saoirse and Lily and sons Jack and Gus.
Gary Moore’s family issued a statement on Wednesday saying they took great comfort in the fact he died of natural causes, and was looking forward to his holiday prior to recording a new album.
“His family has requested that their privacy is respected during this sad time and no further comment will be made. They would very much like to express their heartfelt thanks for the show of support and all the kind messages from friends and fans alike, the world over.”

A sad day indeed,to lose one of the Greatest Guitarists on this planet. A highly skilled technician that often left concert-goers stunned by his skills. We will miss him.

Greg Says it all above. I agree with him wholeheartedly. This was a great loss to guitar aficionados worldwide. He will be missed by players like myself who would cut their teeth on his blistering guitar work. If there is a heaven above, he is in great company!
