Jack White: “I won’t join another band”

Jack White has his hands in many projects these days, either directly and/or through his Third Man Records label.

For starters, Jack’s all over the new Wanda Jackson album, he guests on Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi's “Rome” album, which is set for release later this month, and, in a new interview with Q magazine, Jack said he has recorded a track with Jay-Z, although doesn't know when, or if, it will be released.

Let’s not forget that Jack is also still involved with both The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

Given the recent announcement by The White Stripes that they have packed it in, speculation has begun as to whether or not Jack could end up releasing solo records someday.

White essentially confirmed the idea behind the rumors: Jack confirmed, to Q magazine, he’s busy enough with two bands, but may still do something of his own.

"I won’t join another band again," Jack said. "Three’s enough for one lifetime. If I can’t say it in any of these bands, then I’ll say it by myself."
