Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s massive IRS Tax Lien

“I’ve never understood it.
F**king millionaires never pay their bills”

- Harry Dean Stanton as Bud in Repo Man (1984)

Bud was a wise man, and even he knew that bills had to be paid.

Now, only if Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne were hip to the concept, they wouldn’t be in trouble with the IRS.

TMZ reports the Osbournes owe more than $1.7 million to the IRS in back taxes, according to documents obtained by the media outlet.

The IRS filed a document last Monday with the L.A. County Recorder's Office, claiming Ozzy and Sharon owe $718,948.25 for the 2008 tax year, and $1,024,175.03 for 2009.

You can view the documents here.

Sharon also had a tax lien issue in 2009, when she owed $23,000 to the State of California for the 2007 tax year.

Solid financial planning runs in the family, too - as business manager, Sharon has taught her family well: TMZ reports Kelly also has tax issues, as the State of California filed a lien against her for $34,000 last month.

No comment yet from the Osbourne's rep.
