VIDEO: Aerosmith bassist answers fan-submitted questions

Making headlines over the weekend with news that they will not be playing the American Idol finale, Aerosmith move forward with some good ‘ol public relations.

The band has announced they’ll be playing a series of shows in South America this fall; the tour kicks off October 22 in Lima, Peru. Pre-sale tickets will be available on May 24 and May 25 for the band's fan club; tickets for the general public go on sale May 26.

Aerosmith first played in Latin America in 1977 and last year's electrifying tour through South America left fans begging for more. "I'm looking forward to sweating up a storm with the crazy Latin American fans," says Steven Tyler.

"The band is so excited to play for our Latin American fans. We didn't think we would be back so soon. Every gig we play there is always a special one," says guitarist Joe Perry of their return.

Bassist Tom Hamilton recently answered a number of fan questions that were submitted via Twitter.
