VIDEO: Whitesnake launch 2011 tour

Whitesnake kicked off their 2011 tour this past week with a couple of warm-up, theater gigs in New York and Connecticut before a headlining slot at the M3 Festival in Columbia, Maryland on May 14.

The tour is in support of the band’s new album, “Forevermore,” which features the single, “Love Will Set You Free.”

Some quality video of Whitesnake’s M3 Festival gig has surfaced; they played a short, 9-song set to an energetic crowd, who sang along throughout the show.

Check out the footage below.

Meanwhile, a vintage live ‘Snake show from the band’s headlining slot at the legendary Monsters Of Rock at Castle Donington festival will finally see its release next month.

Whitesnake's "Live At Donington 1990" DVD/live double CD set will be available on June 3 in Europe and June 7 in North America via Frontiers Records.
