VIDEO: Mr. Big covers Smoke On The Water

Following their break-up in 2002, Mr. Big reunited in 2009 due to huge fan response from Japan.

Singer Eric Martin, guitarist Paul Gilbert, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Pat Torpey reconnected and, earlier this year, released their ‘comeback’ album, “What If…”

“This is the first Mr. Big album that I have been a part of, since fourteen years, and it was done in a snap,” said Gilbert. “It was fun and we had really a good time in making this one.”

“We wrote this record like we did in the old days for the first 2 records,” added Sheehan. “Jamming together in the same room to write songs.”

Mr. Big have been playing shows all year long in support of the disc, and the ongoing road trip landed in California this past weekend.

The guys had some fun with one of their encores: they switched up instruments for a cover of the Deep Purple classic, “Smoke On The Water”...with guitarist Gilbert on drums, vocalist Martin on guitar, drummer Torpey on bass and bassist Sheehan on vocals and guitar.

Looks like they had a blast…check it out…
