AC/DC: Angus Young named Australia’s greatest guitarist

Australian Guitar magazine has named AC/DC’s Angus Young as the greatest guitar player in Australian music history.

The Daily Telegraph reports Angus was #1 on the magazine’s Top 50 list, ahead of Tommy Emmanuel (2), Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss (3), The Living End’s Chris Cheney (4) and The Angels’ Rick Brewster (5).

It was an AC/DC double-shot on the list as Angus’ brother, Malcolm, landed at #11.

The magazine's editor Lachlan Marks said the list includes guitar players from a variety of genres.
