Motley Crue sued by marketers

Motley Crue and Blondie, and the bands’ business managers, were sued today by two marketers who allege they weren’t paid as promised for services rendered on behalf of the groups.

SWRNN reports Matthew Ramey and Philippe Luchansky filed the breach of contract/fraud suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against the bands and their managers, 10th Street Entertainment, seeking unspecified damages.

According to the suit, a representative of 10th Street Entertainment contacted the plaintiffs in November for a price quote to provide promotional art for Motley Crue performances in Las Vegas in February

Ramey and Luchansky submitted a number of proposed compositions the managers liked, according to their court papers. However, the managers did not abide by a promise to also let the marketers share in band merchandise sales, including clothing, pins and wrist bands, costing the plaintiffs about $250,000, the suit alleges.
