Thin Lizzy to enter recording studio on Monday

Thin Lizzy is hitting the studio on Monday to record some new music.

“Thin Lizzy enters the recording studio tomorrow with electric guitars and amps a'blazin'; and Brian Downey's full drum kit!" tweeted guitarist Damon Johnson on Sunday.

The band is fresh off playing the Graspop Festival in Dessel, Belgium on Saturday; they’ll perform a full series of European dates throughout the summer.

Lizzy have just issued a box set in the UK called “Classic Album Selection.”

The package features six classic Lizzy albums from their original era with Phil Lynott:

• “Nightlife” (1974)
• “Fighting” (1975)
• “Jailbreak” (1976)
• “Johnny The Fox” (1976)
• “Bad Reputation” (1977)
• “Black Rose” (1979)

More than twenty five years since Lynott’s passing, the celebrated body of work that is Thin Lizzy still retains all of its vibrancy and influence.
