Tom Waits to perform on Letterman and Fallon

Tom Waits has announced the rescheduled dates for appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Waits was originally scheduled to be on both shows in late April, and new dates have been confirmed.

Tom will appear on Letterman July 9 and Fallon on July 10.

The music legend will be talking with the hosts and giving the first live performance of songs from his latest recording, “Bad As Me.”

Musicians joining Waits on stage include his son Casey Waits on drums, long time bassist Larry Taylor, guitarist David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), keyboardist Augie Myers and guitarist Big Bill Morganfield.

"Bad As Me" debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #6, making it the highest debut and the fastest selling (63K+) of Tom’s long and storied career - not only in the US, but around the globe, where it went Top 10 in many countries.

Last year, Waits was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame with an intro speech by Neil Young; Tom joined the class of 2011 with Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Darlene Love and Leon Russell.
