Linkin Park debut at top of US album charts

Linkin Park have scored their fifth US #1 as their new album, “Living Things,” debuts atop the Billboard 200 album chart.

The band sold 223,000 copies of the new set, narrowly beating Maroon 5’s “Overexposed” by just over 1,000 sales, according to Billboard.

The two bands had a similarly close finish in the UK, where Linkin Park outsold Maroon 5 by 3,000 copies to earn its fourth UK #1 album.

Linkin Park kick off a North American tour on August 11 in Bristow, VA.
