On May 19, a mostly-reunited Black Sabbath rocked their hometown of Birmingham.
The event marked the first time the band had played the city in more than a dozen years, and acted as a warmup show to the group’s headline appearance at Download the following month.
Original Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler were joined by Ozzy’s drummer Tommy Clufetos for the show as Bill Ward released a statement declining to participate in the reunion based on his dissatisfaction with a current contract offer.
The intimate hometown show was the first of three scheduled for Sabbath this year, including Download (June 10) and Lollapalooza in Chicago (August 3).
Sabbath have released pro-shot footage of “Paranoid” from the Birmingham concert.
