VIDEO: Green Day – Oh Love lyric video

Green Day have released "Oh Love," the lead single from "Uno!", the first album in the band’s forthcoming trilogy.

The song is a return to the band’s roots.

"What I really wanted to do was write real power-pop kind of music that had that old Green Day energy," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong tells Billboard, "so the original Green Day sound became '¡Uno!'"

As for the trilogy, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! will be released in stages, on September 25th, November 13th, and January 15th 2013 respectively.

"The first record is getting the party started, the second record is the party happening and the depths of hell in the party, and the third one is trying to pick up the pieces, self-reflection and the hangover," said Armstrong.
