PHOTOS: Tom Waits teases August 7 news

Last week, Tom Waits offered fans his first tease about an August 7 announcement.

The legendary singer-songwriter posting a cryptic message that read “Permission To Come Aboard?” along with a photo of himself in a bit of a pirate outfit, wearing an eye patch, smoking a cigar, with a sword drawn and at the ready.

The caption on the photo reads “Coming August 7” - see it here.

While no further details were provided at the time, Tom has now posted two more photos to preview Tuesday’s news.

“I breathe better underwater” was the caption featured with Saturday’s image of Waits, well, under water with two mysterious sea creatures behind him.

“Never bring a gun to a spoonfight” accompanied Monday’s preview, with the singer decked out in a chef’s hat and waving a spoon at a fire.

Fans and media alike continue to speculate on Tom’s pending announcement, and we’ll have it for you on Tuesday once Tom officially lets the cat out of the bag.

Waits’ latest album, “Bad As Me,” debuted on the Billboard 200 last fall at #6, making this the highest debut and the fastest selling (63K+) of his long and storied career—not only in the US, but around the globe, where it debuted Top 10 in many countries.
