Green Day have released the video for “Oh Love,” the lead single from the band’s forthcoming “Uno” album.
“Oh Love” is directed by Samuel Bayer, who has collaborated with Green Day on several videos over the past 8 years, going back to the “American Idiot” single and album.
Green Day will release their trilogy of new albums – “¡Uno!,” “¡Dos!,” and “¡Tré!” - on September 25th, 2012; November 13th, 2012, and January 15th, 2013, respectively.
"What I really wanted to do was write real power-pop kind of music that had that old Green Day energy," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told Billboard recently, "so the original Green Day sound became '¡Uno!'"
"The first record is getting the party started, the second record is the party happening and the depths of hell in the party, and the third one is trying to pick up the pieces, self-reflection and the hangover," added Armstrong.
