Actress and rock and roll mom Valerie Bertinelli was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Wednesday.
Bertinelli, a fixture on American television since the mid-1970s, received the 2,476th star on the Walk of Fame at a ceremony held across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
Valerie was joined by her family - including son and Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen - as well as her “Hot In Cleveland” co-stars Betty White, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.
“It's #ValerieBertinelliDay in Hollywood today! So proud of you Ma,” tweeted Wolfgang, later adding “You're the real deal now Ma! Come down to Hollywood Blvd. and walk all over her!” along with a photo of Bertinelli’s star.
Valerie married Eddie Van Halen in 1981; she gave birth to Wolfgang in 1991. She later separated from Eddie and filed for divorce in 2005, which was finalized in 2007.
Wolfgang was announced as the new bassist for Van Halen in 2006.
Eddie went on to marry actress, stuntwoman, and Van Halen publicist Janie Liszewski in 2009, with brother Alex performing the ceremony and Wolfgang serving as Best Man.
After a seven-year relationship, Bertinelli married financial planner Tom Vitale on New Year’s Day 2011.
Van Halen will play three concerts in Japan this November as part of their “A Different Kind Of Truth” tour, including two in Osaka and one in Tokyo; these shows represent the first Van Halen have played in the country in 14 years.
