PHOTOS: KISS postpone tonight’s Detroit show after tour truck accident

KISS and Motley Crue have postponed tonight’s (Wednesday) concert in Detroit following an accident involving one of the entourage’s tour trucks.

Crue bassist Nikki Sixx posted the news and photos of the truck on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, saying “Tonight’s KISS & Motley Crue show at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit is postponed until tomorrow night Thurs Sept 6!”

The photos show a tractor trailer laying on its side in a field, with road cases strewn around the wreckage.

“Thank god our driver is ok,” wrote Sixx.

Late Wednesday afternoon, KISS shared the same photos, telling fans, “On its way to Detroit, our pyro truck was involved in an accident and flipped, spilling our gear all along the freeway. We owe you the show you expect and deserve, so we've jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible.”

The KISS/Crue tour of North America wraps up September 23 in Hartford, CT.
