Soundgarden release new single - Been Away Too Long

Soundgarden have released “Been Away Too Long,” the first single from the band’s forthcoming set, “King Animal.”

Due November 13, the project is the band’s first studio release since 1996's “Down On The Upside.”

"We have an album coming out in the fall,” said singer Chris Cornell. “It's kind of hard to describe, it's sort of picking up where we left off. There's a lot of different feels on the album. We're a band where every single member contributes music so that makes it very diverse. It's a very rich album with a lot of different moods to it."

Earlier this year, Soundgarden released “Live To Rise,” the band’s first new song in 15 years, as part of the soundtrack for the film, "Marvel's The Avengers."
