VIDEO: The Black Keys – Little Black Submarines

The Black Keys have released a video for “Little Black Submarines,” the latest track from their current album, “El Camino.”

Filmed by Danny Clinch in Nashville’s Springwater Supper Club, guitarist Dan Auerbach tells Rolling Stone that a live performance wasn’t the original vision for the video.

"There was a storyline but it didn't work," the guitarist says, so the band let a select group of fans into the minuscule bar for the filming of the one song - and they ended up playing an entire show.

"We all just sort of kind of mutually agreed that it should probably just be the performance and not any of the other extra stuff," he says. “Luckily we had live footage so we turned it into a live video. We just sort of said 'You know, it was fun kind of performing here at a small club with the fans. Why don't we just have it be that?'"

The Black Keys join Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, Band of Horses and K'naan at the Great Lawn in New York's Central Park on September 29th as part of the Global Festival, a concert designed to bring awareness and funds to the cause of ending global poverty.

The event is organized by the Global Poverty Project – for more details, visit globalfestival.com
