VIDEO: Foo Fighters perform at Democratic National Convention

The day after the Foo Fighters played the longest concert in their history, the band performed at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. Thursday evening.

"It's an honor to be here," said Dave Grohl as he introduced “My Hero,” the first of two tracks the Foos would play on center stage, not long before President Obama accepted his party's nomination for a second term. "I think this song makes perfect sense here tonight."

The Foos toned down their usual heavy rock blast with a softer, acoustic-driven performance of the 1998 song, which was followed by the newer “Walk” from 2011’s “Wasting Light.”

On Wednesday, the Foos rocked a 3.5 hour show at the intimate Fillmore in Charlotte as part of a Rock The Vote concert. Watch video of the show here.
