Soundgarden preview new song – By Crooked Steps

Soundgarden continue to preview material from their forthcoming album, “King Animal.”

Due November 13, the project is the reunited band’s first studio album in 16 years.

The group recently released the first single, “Been Away Too Long”; earlier this year, Soundgarden issued another tune, “Live To Rise,” as part of the soundtrack for the film, "Marvel's The Avengers."

Now, the Seattle rockers are sharing a preview of the new track, “By Crooked Steps.”

The song will appear on the album and its demo is also included on the Deluxe Edition of “King Animal.”

“’By Crooked Steps’ started just as a two-part guitar riff that I showed the guys,” explains drummer Matt Cameron. “We dove right in. We had various arrangements of that one – just the overall song is a pretty classic Soundgarden vibe.”
