Soundgarden preview Taree

Soundgarden will release their new album, “King Animal,” this Tuesday, November 13.

The project marks the reunited band’s first studio effort in 16 years.

Soundgarden continue to serve up previews of the new music – up next is “Taree.”

“I remember moving to Kingston,” explains bassist Ben Shepherd. “We lived downtown and you look out on the beach and the water and stuff cause it’s a bay…and there’s this huge fake Hollywood lettering, TAREE, and it was all totally overgrown. So I wrote that music before we broke up before. I always wanted Chris or us to do it, because it had this certain mood.”

The group recently released the first single, “Been Away Too Long”; earlier this year, Soundgarden issued another tune, “Live To Rise,” as part of the soundtrack for the film, "Marvel's The Avengers."
