Soundgarden are thanking fans for their support with a FREE download.
“It’s been a big year for Soundgarden and we wanted to personally thank you for supporting us through it,” wrote the band. “As a gift we would like to offer you a free download of two of our favorite tracks from our performance on Live On Letterman. The November 12th Letterman performance – webcast by hennemusic – was to launch “King Animal,” the reunited band’s first studio album in 16 years.

This past week, Soundgarden filmed a video for the track, “By Crooked Steps,” from the project; the clip is being directed by Dave Grohl.
The Seattle rockers kick off a North American tour in New York on January 16.
