Deep Purple have offered up a teaser for the upcoming release of their first new album in 8 years.
The band issued a video trailer featuring about 50 seconds of music from the project.
Purple also provided more details regarding the album’s release schedule, as follows:
Apr 26 – Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Spain
Apr 29 – UK, France, Benelux, Poland, Czech Republic, Norway, Denmark
Apr 30 – North America, Italy
May 01 – Sweden
After various songwriting sessions in Europe, the band recorded and mixed the project in Nashville with producer Bob Ezrin.
The band’s first album since 2005’s “Rapture Of The Deep” is rumored to be the perfect match from the original spirit of 70s Purple and a fresh and modern production.
