Def Leppard mark 30th anniversary of Pyromania on In The Studio

Def Leppard mark the 30th anniversary of “Pyromania” on the latest edition of In The Studio.

The UK band’s third album broke Def Leppard in North America, with some help from MTV video exposure and singles like “Photograph”, "Rock of Ages" and "Foolin'", all which became top 40 singles in the US.

Produced by the legendary Mutt Lange, “Pyromania” introduced new guitarist Phil Collen to the lineup.

The album charted at #2 on the Billboard 200, eventually going on to sell more than 10 million copies in the US, earning Leppard diamond status by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

Lead singer Joe Elliott, bass player Rick Savage, and then-newest member Phil Collen all join host Redbeard to document the making of one of the ‘80s biggest albums, which also helped launch the Pop Metal movement.
