VIDEO: Guns N’ Roses bassist talks gear at NAMM

Guns N’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson made an appearance at the ESP booth at the recent NAMM convention in Anaheim.

Groovey of Hollywood Music Magazine hooked up with Stinson for an on-site interview, where he spoke enthusiastically about the ESP line of basses.

In March, GNR will play an Australian tour with ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo.

Notorious for making fans wait unnecessarily with their late starts, the Aussie tour is making headlines as both band and promoter speak to the press about the band’s ongoing concert issues.

"We have a huge rig and pyrotechnics so often it's the case of fitting all that into the venue,” guitarist DJ Ashba recently told Yahoo! 7 News, despite the fact that many rockers – like KISS – play the same venues, have bigger productions and never keep fans waiting.

Ashba’s comments were followed up by promoter Andrew McManus, who made a public promise that the Aussie shows will begin on schedule.

"Axl will be on stage on time, so any of those fairyheads saying he won't be, good luck!" Andrew McManus told Sydney’s Triple M. "The great thing is that the last 12 months he's been on stage on time. I can guarantee all the punters that do go, he has been exemplary. He'll promise you, he'll be on stage at the right time, so don't be fearful. [If] you rock out there two hours late and think you're going to see him... the show will be over."

Stay tuned.
