Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has posted an update from the road prior to the opening night of the band’s South American tour, which kicks off at Estadio Monumental in Santiago, Chile on Friday (Oct. 4).
“Arrived in Santiago, Chile, about to start our South American tour,” writes Iommi. “ Should be good, another part of the world where we never came with Ozzy so we're all looking forward to the shows. We've Megadeth with us so the crowd will get a great night of music, quite cool at night down here and the shows are outdoors so we'll do our best to warm you up!”
Black Sabbath’s South American dates run to October 26 in Mexico City, Mexico.
On November 26, the band will release a live DVD entitled “Gathered In Their Masses.”
The group were recorded over two shows – April 29 and May 1 – in Melbourne, Australia during the early stages of the group’s world tour in support of its long-awaited reunion album, "13".
"Black Sabbath: Live…Gathered in Their Masses" will be available via a variety of formats – for more details and a song list, click here.
