On the red carpet at the Bass Player Live! Concert & Awards Show Saturday in Los Angeles, Sebastian Bach was asked to comment on the status of his feud with Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx over his audition for the band following their split with Vince Neil in 1992.
The pair have disagreed publicly over Bach’s audition and offer to join the group, with Sixx denying any of it happened, despite a detail account provided by the former Skid Row frontman.
"Here's the thing… You are talking to probably the biggest Motley Crue fan in the world,” Bach tells Eric Blair of The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show. “So, you know, when you wake up and it's, like, 'I never said that.' It's, like, 'Well, bs. Actually, you did.' Here's the thing…. I'm not making anything up. I'm not that devious. I don't have a lot of time. I'm kind of busy. But how much fun was that on YouTube when that [old MTV] interview [with Sixx and Tommy Lee] surfaced? (here)[laughs] Did you see that? Oops! [laughs] Maybe I could be referring to that!"
"Here's the thing,” added Bach. “When he comes out and goes he never said that or anything, I think he's talking about me like the 14-year-old Motley Crue fan, like, in the front row. I'm, like, a 45-year-old man now. It's, like, 'OK, dude. Well, I know we're into that whole 'out-in-the-playground' kind of thing, but I'm not 14 anymore, so..."
In September, when asked by a fan on Twitter if he was ever considered to replace Neil, Bach replied, “Not considered. Asked.” Read more details here.
A week later, Sixx addressed Bach’s claim on his Sixx Sense radio show.
"I read something online. It's not true, and I wanna talk about it a little bit,” began Sixx. "Sebastian Bach, who was the lead singer from Skid Row — and I still think he should still be in Skid Row, and I've talked to all of them about that many times; they just can't along — he says that Motley Crue wanted him to replace Vince Neil. And I'm just gonna say right now that is absolutely not true.”

The public back and forth continued with Sixx questioning the singer’s motives via Twitter.
"Someone needs attention to try and sell some books,” tweeted Sixx, followed by, “I always liked the term ‘Washed Up’.”
Bach’s last reply was to share a link to a 1994 MTV interview with Sixx where the bassist confirms the group did rehearse with the singer (here).
