Deep Purple: Jon Lord photobook preview

“Jon Lord - All Those Years Ago”, a new, limited-edition photo biography of the late Deep Purple keyboardist, will be published in April.

The book features a history and recollection of Jon's early life from birth to the start of Deep Purple by his brother Steve Lord.

The project includes never before seen, personal family photographs, Jon's own photographs from his days with Deep Purple, contributions from Jon's colleagues, friends and family and unpublished professional images.

The bio features unique contributions from Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Bernie Marsden and many others.

In addition, the package will contain new, previously unreleased music on a 10" single featuring “All Those Years Ago”, as well as an unreleased performance of Jon's Concerto for Group and Orchestra on DVD (performed exactly as Jon intended); the DVD will also include the music from the 10" single.

“Jon Lord - All Those Years Ago” will be published as a limited-edition of 500 copies, including an introduction from Jon's friend and fellow keyboard player Rick Wakeman, who will also personally sign each copy of the edition.

“Jon Lord - All Those Years Ago” is available for pre-order now at Rufus Stone here.

Lord passed away July 16, 2012 at the age of 71 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
