Megadeth: Dave Mustaine with San Diego Symphony poster unveiled

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will be a featured soloist with the San Diego Symphony in April, and a poster for his upcoming appearance has been unveiled.

Mustaine will participate in a program that will include Wagner's "Ride Of The Valkyries" from "Die Walküre", Vivaldi's "Winter" from "The Four Seasons" and Dvorak's "Symphony No. 9" (the "New World" symphony).

The classical special concert, billed as "Symphony Interrupted", will take place at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, California on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 8:00 p.m.

Mustaine and Megadeth are the latest artists to have a compilation album released under the “Icon” series.

Due February 25 in the U.S. and on March 11 in Canada, the set features 11 tracks from the band’s catalog, including “Symphony Of Destruction” and “Peace Sells.”

Launched in 2010, the Icon series features the greatest hits, signature tunes and fan favorites of the most popular artists in music history, spanning rock, pop, R&B and country.

Megadeth’s latest album is 2013’s “Super Collider.”
